New Earswick Sports & Social Club and one of our member sections New Earswick Cricket Club saw a new addition for the 2020 season with a new electronic scoreboard.
The installation of the new scoreboard was part of the wider refurbishment of the Sports Club when the old score box area was refurbished with the old upstairs long room enabling the creation of a classroom / board room and members lounge when not in use.

The 2020 season finally got underway following the halt to all recreational sports and the fear the season would never start, and the scoreboard was installed a couple of weeks into the cricket season on 7th August and was used that night for an Under 15’s game which saw New Earswick CC U15’s triumph over Tadcaster Magents CC U15’s
All of New Earswick Cricket Club’s teams have had a successful season following the uncertainty and have been in full swing this summer, following the restart of the recreational game they are fielding sides at Under 11, Under 15 and two Senior sides. In addition to the All Stars sessions being run on Saturday mornings for 5 – 8 year olds.
